Meditate on John 8:31–32
Read it aloud, again and again, every day this week. God’s Word is where He meets with you, and your hunger grows as you feed on it.
The Way · For the one who said yes
It boils down to this: be His disciple. Abide, love, serve — and repeat.
The rhythm of a disciple
Four times Jesus says “my disciple,” and each time He tells us what one looks like. The fourth asks you to keep going.
The Babe stage
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
John1 John 2:12 · KJV
New life has begun. This stage is about forming the habits of abiding, loving, serving and repeating.
Read it aloud, again and again, every day this week. God’s Word is where He meets with you, and your hunger grows as you feed on it.
Find out who the disciples around you are and spend time with them. Jesus’ new commandment is to love one another as He loved us.
Notice the needs of the people right around you, and meet one each day. Serving matters.
Read Luke 14:27–33 aloud this week. Each day, choose again to abide, love and serve.
Growth here looks like
When these have become habits, you begin building structure — doctrine, relationships and ministry.
A growing hunger for God’s Word, fed every day.
Valuing the other disciples around you.
Serving the needs closest to you.
Being planted in a local church, and baptized in water.
A word about the church
Disciple Heart is neither a local church nor an online church. Ask God to guide you to a local church where His Word is believed and taught unashamedly — your home away from home.
