The Gate · For the one still asking

Enter by theNarrow Gate.

“I think I believe in God, but I’m not sure about Jesus Christ.” If that’s you, honest searching is good ground to stand on.

You’re searching for truth

He Is Not Far From You.

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.

Paul in AthensActs 17:27 · KJV

You don’t have to pretend to be sure. Bring your questions — they’re where finding begins.

Read the Gospel of John, a chapter a day, for the next 21 days. As you read, keep four questions in front of you:

  1. What is truth?
  2. Is God real?
  3. Who is Jesus?
  4. What is the Bible?

John wrote his account for exactly this: “that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31).

There are no failures here, just learners. Searching is not a detour — it’s the first stage of the path.

From our statement of beliefs

The Good News.

Salvation comes by what Christ alone accomplished — His death, His burial, and His victory over the grave.

It is received wholly by grace, through faith: hearing the gospel, seeing who Jesus is by the Holy Spirit, and responding with repentance and faith.

This is the new birth — the first miracle of redemption. It includes the healing of the broken heart, deliverance from spiritual darkness, and physical healing (Luke 4:18). It is the gate, and it is where the way of a disciple begins.

Enter by the narrow gate… because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13–14 · NKJV
